The City's Public Works Street and Garage Department is responsible for over 40 miles of streets and roads. They sweep, crack seal, reconstruct and snow plow snow in the winter months. They also maintain all equipment based on hours or miles.

For snow plowing, the City maintains 5 trucks with plows, 2 front end loaders and a front end mounted snow blower. Three pickups with plows can access the tight areas. During the winter, the City uses 400 tons of salt and 400 yards of sand to keep the streets clear of ice and safe for everyone.
