Recycling is collected every week.

Weekly collection of recycling is on the same date as your garbage pickup. Waste Management, the garbage and recycling collection contractor for the City of Mosinee, picks up both garbage and recycling with one truck.

Here's how it works

Electronics Recycling

It is illegal to landfill or incinerate the following electronic devices in Wisconsin:

- Desktop computers

- Desktop printers

- Video display devices

- Computer peripherals

- Fax machines

- DVD players, VCRs, DVRs and other video players

- Cell phones

For more information on the landfill ban, or where to recycle your old electronics, visit:

Each Spring, the City of Mosinee holds a "Spring Cleanup" where residents can dispose of Electronic devices. This "Spring Cleanup" is usually held in April of each year. For more information, please visit the City of Mosinee website in March or April for more information.

Hazardous Waste Materials

For disposal of household hazardous waste materials, Marathon County has a facility set up to accept these materials and disposal is available at no charge to all County residents. The collection facility will take lawn chemicals, garden chemicals, cleaning solvents, antifreeze, motor oil, hydraulic fluids, fluorescent light bulbs, solvent-based glues, mercury products, degreasers, lead-based paints, and batteries of all kinds.
